Q: Why do you review new games on Classic Game Room?
A: Classic Game Room has been playing games since 1979 or so, we've seen a lot. New games aren't judged by graphics but by the original, classic reason for playing video games.... FUN. Also, every new video game has roots to the classics. Besides, every game console secretly wants to be the Vectrex.
Q: Why do you review so many iPod, Atari 2600 and arcade style games and not an equal amount of mainstream PS3 and Xbox 360 games?
A: CGR likes short, arcade style games a lot. A LOT. Remember, Robotron 2084 and Ms. Pac Man are 2 of my (Mark, the producer) favorite games. At this time CGR produces daily game and hardware reviews. A review of an arcade style game for iPod or Atari may take 1-2 hours to produce while a larger PS3 or 360 game may take 10-15 hours or more. Here’s some numbers: The review for Parachute Panic on iPod contained a total of 8gb of video and audio file data. The Metal Gear Solid 4 review contained 750gb of data. At this time you'll see a larger quantity of smaller, shorter, arcade style games from Classic Game Room. We are working to bring you reviews of EVERY big and small release for every game console.
Q: Will you accept a friend request on Xbox Live or PS3?
A: I don’t have time to play online and generally don’t use the online services for more than just reviewing. Also the messages that pop up can interfere with gameplay recording so I usually shut them off. Hopefully in the future we’ll be able to have Classic Game Room playing sessions with fans and crew, but until then know CGR is your friend even if it’s not officially licensed by XBLA or PS3.
Q: I subbed to you, why didn’t you sub back?
A: We get thousands of messages a day on YouTube. We apologize for not responding to them all and don’t sub to other channels.
Q: When are you going to review [insert game title here]?
A: When we can.
Q: I'm a game company, PR firm for game company or independent game developer making games. Will you review our game with a video or text review?
A: Most likely. We're working on section of the site for this but in the meantime please contact our business email----> classicgameroom (the2keywshift) inecom.com
Q: What are your favorite movies?
A: The Empire Strikes Back, Army of Darkness, Aliens, Godzilla movies, Robocop, Predator…. The stuff you’d expect.
Q: Is Classic Game Room just one person in a garage full of imaginary friends?
A: No. Although the production and recording work is handled by the producer and site editor, Mark, the operation has several humans who are hard at work bringing you Classic Game Room every day. Classic Game Room is part of Inecom, LLC. We also employ an army of unicorns, magic elves and rainbows to do our dirty work.
Q: Can I donate a game or game system to Classic Game Room?
A: Yes! We love donations. We accept many and will give a shout out for donated games and whatnot. We do not need the game systms that you see on the show though. We will eventually have a forums section for this, but until then please contact our business email----> info (aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhtttt) inecom.com
